A special DVD setting Sea to Sky Country to music and images is on the streets.
Local composer Joanna Schwarz's DVD of her song Mountain, Sea and Sky is now available for sale at several locations around Squamish, including the B.C. Museum of Mining in Britannia Beach, the Brackendale Art Gallery, the Newport Gallery, home Hardware, the Howe Sound Inn, the Mountain Retreat Hotel and Suites and at the West Coast Railway Heritage Park.
The song, which references the sights and sounds of Sea to Sky Country, had its public debut in a concert at Squamish Baptist Church in February 2002 and was also performed at Squamish's celebration for the 2010 Olympics announcement in July 2003.
The DVD project is a combination of several talented local musicians, including Anne Thomson on vocals, Schwarz on piano, Kristine Miles on flute and Lorne Campbell on drums, produced by Brian Marchant and produced on DVD by Lloyd Skelton.
