The holidays may be over, but the party is still going on at the Howe Sound Brew Pub this Saturday (Jan. 14) as Vancouver's Los Furios bring their special brand of "dirty reggae" to town.

With an ever-growing fan base, Los Furios plays a hybrid mix of ska, Latin, reggae and catchy southern California punk - a blend best described as Sublime and Rancid meet Fishbone with a dash of Santana added in for good measure.

But it is the group's live performances that garner fans, with attention grabbing jams and blisteringly cool, high-energy riffs."A good live show, like a fine piece of music, makes you remember why you're alive," wrote Furio singer/guitarist Kyle Sommi on the band's website.

Feel alive this weekend as Los Furios plays the Brew Pub on Saturday Jan. 14.

Doors open at 9 p.m. with a $5 cover.
