The films are the same on either night and include Sachi Style, Climbing Never Die, Jirishanca, and Yeah Buddy.

The mini rock climbing film festival, Reel Rock 18, will air in Squamish after the Family Day long weekend.

Over two nights, Feb. 20 and 21, Reel Rock 18 will be playing at the Eagle Eye Theatre located inside Howe Sound Secondary on Buckley Avenue. Tickets are on sale now, which are $35 for general admission and about $28 for students and those under 18.

“Reel Rock 18 is here to blow your mind with jaw-dropping climbing films that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Join us for a night filled with adrenaline, inspiration and pure stoke. Whether you're a seasoned climber or just love the thrill of the great outdoors, this event is a must-see,” reads the Eventbrite page for the event.

Proceeds from the film viewing will also go towards a non-profit with local ties.

“The proceeds will be used for our clients with Canadian Adaptive Climbing Society, including outdoor climbing sessions with folks from Spinal Cord Injury BC and also with Whistler Adaptive,” said Brent Goodman, a co-executive director of Canadian Adaptive Climbing Society, in an email to The Squamish Chief.

The films are the same on either night and include Sachi Style, Climbing Never Die, Jirishanca, and Yeah Buddy

All four films feature climbing from around the world.

The doors for the show open at 6:30 p.m., with the show starting around 7:30 p.m. Food and beverage will be available from a couple of Squamish locales.

Check out more information about the films and the event on the Eventbrite page.
