Calling all writers, poets, and visual creators in the Sea to Sky.

Whistler Writers Festival is looking for short-form fiction, non-fiction, poetry and works of visual art from emerging talents in the corridor.

This is a pilot project spearheaded by a small group of local volunteers and facilitated by the festival.

Written and visual submissions are now being accepted through the Whistler Writers Festival website until May 1. It is free to submit work.

There are no restrictions on the subject matter of the submitted work.

The only requirement is that those submitting work have some association with Sea to Sky (Horseshoe Bay to Mount Currie).

A panel of locals will assess submissions.

Accepted written and visual works will be presented at the Whistler Writers Festival, Oct 12-15, 2023, at various venues in Whistler.

Accepted works will also be posted online and possibly in print.

Those who submit accepted work will have free entry to the Festival’s Literary Cabaret, which includes readings, live music and literary awards.
