The classics get dusted off and given the chance to shine as local soprano Kelly Coubrough, along with accompanist Erik Musseau, perform at St. John's the Devine Anglican Church on Saturday, Feb. 24.

And fans of musical theatre and even easy listening will enjoy the show, as Coubrough is making the most of her wide repertoire."It's a little bit of everything," she said. "I am singing in four different languages... it's going to be an evening for all tastes.

Coubrough, 27, moved to Squamish from Pickering, Ontario, just under two years ago, and is a member of the chorus for the Vancouver Opera Company.

"We've just finished The Magic Flute," she said. "And am really looking forward to Saturday night."

Coubrough added that she has been working with Musseau from her earliest times here.

"We have had a great working relationship, right from the very beginning," she said. "Anyone who comes to see us will see that we're very collaborative."

Coubrough has been a featured soloist with the Whistler Singers, the Squamish Ecumenical Choir and the Sea-to-Sky Singers. Recently, she also played the role of Cassie in the Squamish, B.C. production of the Broadway musical.

Coubrough is very happy to be part of the Festival.

"Wild At Art is great. It's nice that it highlights all sides of the artistic community here."

The concert starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at Mostly Books, Billie's Bouquet and the Adventure Centre ($15 adult - $10 Seniors and Students).
