Squamish homeowners are sure to be asking each other this question all week after BC Assessments were released on Tuesday, Jan. 2, that include highlights of 2018 property assessment changes in communities across the province.

The 2018 assessments are based on market values as of July 1, 2017.
Homeowners have until Jan. 31 to appeal their assessment.
Just because an assessment went up significantly, doesn’t mean necessarily that the homeowner’s property taxes will go up.
