A magical day at Squamish Public Library

All those Harry Potter fans out there know that today (June 4) the third book in the Harry Potter series, The Prisoner of Azkaban, is becoming a movie, and will be playing in theaters everywhere.

All those Harry Potter fans out there know that today (June 4) the third book in the Harry Potter series, The Prisoner of Azkaban, is becoming a movie, and will be playing in theaters everywhere. In the midst of all this craziness, some people forget that these cool movies started with amazing books by an extraordinary author, J.K. Rowling.

To help remind our fans of this fact, the Teen Advisory Council (TAC) at the Squamish Public Library is holding a carnival Saturday (June 5) where kids can come for an afternoon of fun and games. Children are invited to come in costume, and there will be contests and prizes awarded. From 1 to 3 p.m. children will be transported from Gringotts and Olivander's Wands in Diagon Alley, to Potions, Transfiguration, Care of Magical Creatures at Hogwarts, Honeyduke's Sweet Shop in Hogsmeade and much more.

Space is limited so, for early registration, call 604-892-3110 and a library worker will mark you down.
