Photos: ‘All out for Gaza’ vigil held in Squamish Thursday

About 45 attendees lit candles and called for a ceasefire in the deadly war that began Oct. 7.

A pro-Palestine vigil was held in Squamish at Junction Park on Thursday night.

The Squamish 'All Out for Gaza Vigil', organized by three locals, drew about 45 people who lit candles and carried placards and flags.

Placards read “Free Palestine” or demanded Prime Minister Justin Trudeau call for a ceasefire in the bloody Israel-Hamas conflict, which has claimed thousands of lives since it began when the militant group Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7. Israel has since been bombarding Gaza in retaliation.
