Bundle up!

An Arctic airflow warning has been issued for Squamish and other communities along Howe Sound.

Strong wind and cold wind-chill are expected this evening, according to Environment Canada.

The combination of strong wind and low temperatures will cause the wind-chill to drop to nearly -20 degrees tonight and tomorrow.

Anyone who is not dressed warmly is at risk of frostbite and hypothermia, Environment Canada warns. Drive carefully, especially along coastal routes exposed to the wind, including Highway 99.

Snow on the way
Significant snowfall is forecast for the South Coast tomorrow evening.

Strong wind combined with the snow will reduce visibility tomorrow and Friday, according to Environment Canada.

In Squamish, snow will likely turn to rain on Friday and a snow-rain mix is expected for the weekend.
