As snow hits Squamish, a chance of a white Christmas

Snow is blanketing town, possibly foreshadowing a white Christmas.

While rain is supposed to mix and eventually take over during the remainder of the weekend, Monday’s forecast pegs a chance of flurries at 60 per cent.

Christmas Day is supposed to be a mix of sun and cloud during the morning and afternoon, then — again — a 60 per cent chance of flurries during the night.

As of the latest Environment Canada readings, up to four centimetres of snow are expected today.

Tonight, snow will turn to rain, of which 20 millimetres will fall.
