The latest assessed values of houses, townhouses and apartment suites in Squamish are now available online.
Increases of 30 to 50 per cent are typical for single-family houses in Squamish, while condos and townhouses face increases of between 15 to 30 per cent. The district is among a few communities in B.C. seeing the highest assessment spikes.
In December, letters were mailed out to property owners whose assessments increased significantly more than average in the district. Around five per cent of properties provincewide received the letters, but 10 per cent of Squamish homeowners found them in their mailboxes.
