Sign of the times?

The Petro-Canada gas station in Brackendale confirmed to The Squamish Chief that they have recently run out of regular gas.

They also reported that they believed that they would be refuelled by the end of the day today, but they were not absolutely certain.

The Squamish Chief phoned three gas stations to see if this issue was happening elsewhere. The  Squamish Valley Gas Bar, the Shell on Highway 99 and the Husky on Cleveland Avenue reported having regular gas.

Gas prices were recently predicted to increase beyond $2 per litre in the Metro Vancouver area. The Gas Wizard has since updated its prediction of that region and Victoria to approximately $2.18 per litre for regular gas on Friday, Sept. 23.

That prediction is currently the only prediction above $2 per litre across the country. As for other cities around B.C., Kamloops is predicted to be 177.9 cents per litre, Prince George is predicted to be 175.9 cents per litre and Kelowna is predicted to be 169.9 cents per litre.
