BC Hydro has issued a spill notification for the Cheakamus Dam, following another bout of wet weather in Squamish.
Officials from the corporation say they will be keeping an eye on the situation.
No flood alert notification is expected to be issued at this time.
Spill notifications for Cheakamus are issued when discharges are anticipated to be greater than 170 cubic metres per second from the Cheakamus Dam," reads a message from Whitney Deane, who works in community relations for the utility.
"With less precipitation and cooler temperatures than originally forecasted, we may not reach that mark. However, the spill notification will remain in place and will be re-evaluated Monday."
