Squamish residents are being urged to try ditching their cars for bikes as their primary commuting vehicles later this month. Those who do will have a chance to win draw prizes and a pair of grand prizes.
Organized by the Sea to Sky Clean Air Society and the District of Squamish, Bike to Work Week is planned in Squamish and across B.C. during the week of May 26 to June 1. The SSCAS is a non-profit organization with a mandate to protect air quality in the Sea to Sky/Howe Sound airshed. This is the third year for the event.
Those interested in taking part in Bike to Work Week are encouraged to sign up as teams or individuals may do so by visiting www.biketowork.ca. More information about the event will be available in the coming weeks.
