Have you seen this boat?

A boat used by the Squamish Yacht Club for sailing lessons was recently stolen while moored at the club in the Mamquam Blind Channel.

According to Squamish's Colin Smith, a member of the Squamish Yacht Club, the vessel was last seen Thursday, July 7, at 9 p.m., locked up after lessons ended.

"They removed the dock cleat to gain access as it was locked to the dock," Smith told The Squamish Chief.

The boat is about four metres (14 ft) long, grey inflatable with a 20 hp Mercury tiller-steer motor.

"We are a non-profit organization trying to offer sailing lessons to the community, so this comes as a major disappointment," Smith said.

Please direct any information to [email protected], and if possible, spread the word on your social media platforms, Smith said.

The RCMP can be reached at the non-emergency line: 604-892-6100 or 911 if urgent.

RCMP file number: SQ22-4101

The boat hull number: Can42012c414

The boat registration: Bc8280987
