Book in Adventure Centre will direct people to local artists

Finding Squamish's various artists has never been easier thanks to a local women's initiative to create a book documenting the sources of the town's artwork.

Finding Squamish's various artists has never been easier thanks to a local women's initiative to create a book documenting the sources of the town's artwork.

The Squamish Art Source, when completed, will be located at the adventure centre and will provide visitors and local as like with a guide to Squamish's artists.

Artists and art organizations from Furry Creek to the Paradise Valley are invited to submit work to be displayed in the book and there is no charge for the service.

Each artist is asked to submit two pages, one with information about the artist and one displaying the artist's work. Submissions, as well as business cards and other information should be left at the Adventure Centre, with tourist information staff in an envelope mark attention Kim Hood - Squamish Art Source. Submissions are due May 20, and can also be emailed to kim@squamishchamber.com.
