On April 26 at 3:41 a.m., a burglar alarm was received from the Shell Service Station on Highway 99. Upon attendance, RCMP members located a large rock, which had been thrown at the front window. The window was shattered but remained intact and no entry was gained. Damage to the door was considerable and patrols of the area failed to locate anyone in the area.

On April 28, a business owner reports that over the weekend a business on Cleveland Avenue was broken into by forcing a sliding window off of the tracks. Once inside, suspect(s) stole a computer and left through the same window. The matter is still under investigation.

On April 24 at 1:38 a.m., an audible alarm was reported at the KFC restaurant on Highway 99. Members attended and found the door glass broken and entry gained. The building was cleared and suspect(s) who broke in had departed with a donation charity collection box.

The RCMP is offering a presentation on theft and armed robbery for business owners, operators and employees on Wednesday (May 12) at the Squamish detachment, 1000 Finch Drive. Semi loses control

On April 24 at 2:15 a.m., a B.C. Ambulance crew travelling on Highway 99 observed a northbound semi truck and trailer lose control and go off the road into a rock face. The tractor and trailer separated on impact. The 50-year-old driver was transported to hospital with injuries, treated and later released. The driver of was issued a violation ticket and the vehicle and trailer were towed.

Car flips

On April 24 at 6:31 a.m., police, fire and ambulance attended to a reported single vehicle rollover on Highway 99 north of Depot Road. A 1997 Honda Civic with three occupants was located on its roof blocking the southbound lanes of Highway 99 just north of Depot Road. The three 19-year-old females in the vehicle were transported to hospital, treated and released. The driver of the vehicle was issued with a violation ticket.
