The select committee on Transportation, Infrastruc-ture and Planning presented its findings to council recommending that council direct the economic development officer to explore the area by the Squamish River and the Woodfibre ferry for the development of a cruise ship facility and that it consider transit service to the Adventure Centre with a connection to Brennan Park Recreation Centre.
Upon a suggest from Coun. Corinne Lonsdale, council agreed to drop the consideration of transit to the Adventure Centre and focus on Brennan Park.
The committee also recommended that council develop a strategy to secure public access to the rivers and sea dykes of Squamish and that it support the Trail Society in creating a trail that would circumvent private property on the Eagle Run dyke.
