The Chief is pleased to announce the addition of Rebecca Aldous to our award-winning team.
Aldous, who formerly worked at the Williams Lake Tribune, Interior News (Smithers), Ladysmith Chronicle, Victoria News and most recently the North Shore Outlook, will serve as reporter/photographer with a focus on news and feature writing.
Aldous has won numerous awards for her work both provincially and nationally. While working for the Outlook in 2010, her work won a first-place Suburban Newspapers of America award for Best Young People's Coverage and a second-place award for Best Environmental Coverage.
Aldous has lived in Squamish for the past year. She became a reporter because she believes media in today's world has a huge potential for promoting understanding. She is excited to meet the community and welcomes all story ideas.
