The District of Squamish is authorized to borrow up to $683,185 for the artificial turf field, as per a DOS staff report included in the June 19 council package. However, the actual amount to be borrowed depends on the final price tag for the field and is likely to be much less, district officials say. Last week's article "Squamish turf field on the way" may have left the impression that the full amount is to be borrowed.
