The owner of a piece of commercial property along Mamquam Road and a would-be purchaser of the land are applying to the District of Squamish for a rezoning for a proposed redevelopment of the property. The owners of the existing business on the site, Village Green Garden Centre, are currently renting the space from the landowner and are not involved in the bid to rezone and redevelop the property. The wording of the Nov. 4 Chief article "Revamped garden centre eyed" was somewhat unclear and may have led some readers to the mistaken conclusion that the Village Green Garden Centre owners are seeking to redevelop the property.
