A 55-lb. dog food bag full of daffodils to the young couple in the small pick-up on Mamquam Road just below the university who stopped to help my wife and our dog on Saturday, March 5.
My wife was enjoying a walk with our dog when an individual driving a vehicle hit and killed our chocolate lab.
Thankfully, the young couple was driving up the road behind the truck and watched the driver stop briefly to see what he had done and then speed off, leaving my wife and our dead dog in his wake.
The young couple (I’m sorry, we never got your names) offered us a blanket for Molly and was extremely supportive during the whole situation. We are grateful that people like you are still out there and we won’t forget you.

A truckload of darts to the lazy person who dumped a pile of garbage onto the pathway system by the water tower in recent days, virtually across the road from the landfill. Clean up your act! The rest of us actually appreciate Squamish’s natural beauty.
