DOS directors moving on

Garland, Chancey depart; MacLeod promoted to director of engineering

Two District of Squamish directors are moving on, while a third has been promoted. Greig Garland, who served as the district's director of capital projects, has taken up a new position as one of the principals of Webster Engineering Ltd. Former director of municipal infrastructure Jenni Chancey is taking a year off to focus on endurance race training and travelling. As well, former solid waste project manager Rod MacLeod has been promoted to director of engineering, officials said. David Roulston, meanwhile, has been appointed to municipality's engineering team. He will focus on infrastructure planning and take over where Chancey left off, officials said. The district is recruiting a second engineer to replace Garland in support of capital projects.
