Enjoy your Easter

Community

Easter morning is an exciting time for children as they search around their house to see what the Easter Bunny has brought them. I'm thrilled as I am sure others are to have grandchildren visiting this weekend. It is also a joyous occasion for Christians as the celebration of Christ's resurrection is observed in churches around the world. Special services are also planned in churches in our community on Sunday (March 27).

The annual Easter Egg Hut sponsored by the Squamish Firefighters Association will be held at Brennan Park on Easter Sunday. The hunt will start with the sound of the siren at 12 noon. There are three age categories, 0 - 3, 4 - 6 and 7 - 9 years, but everyone is welcome to attend. I believe the Easter Bunny is planning to be there to greet and meet the children.

At the West Coast Railway Heritage Park, the fifth annual Easter Scavenger Hunt will be held on Easter Sunday from 12 noon to 3 p.m. It will be fun for the whole family and while checking for those hidden goodies you will also be searching through railway history. Admission is by donation and the cost of the mini-rail is just $2 per person.
