Mayor Greg Gardner announced the resignation of finance director Ralph Hughes during the District of Squamish council meeting Tuesday (Jan. 19).
"Mr. Hughes is moving on here really quickly, so on behalf of the district thank you for your valuable contributions and all the best in you future endeavours," said Gardner.
Details regarding Hughes's future endeavours were not immediately available.
Hughes is the fifth top level staff to resign, retire or be dismissed since the new council was elected. The list includes former chief administrative officer Kim Anema, former engineering manager Doug French, former fire chief Ray Saurette and former operations manager Gord Prescott.
