Squamish Fire Rescue (SFR) and RCMP responded to a fire on Loggers Lane just after 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Thick smoke filled the air and police were blocking traffic at Finch Drive and Robin Drive.
According to district staff, the fire began in a large trailer being used as a residence. SFR stayed on scene for four hours battling the blaze with 23 firefighters, two fire engines, a ladder truck, squad truck and command vehicle. One person was taken to hospital, however information on the nature of the injuries, if any, was not available.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
