Firefighters were called back to Fergie’s restaurant Tuesday night.
A small hot spot had developed in an overhauled debris pile, Fire Chief Bill Stoner said in an email.
Crews arrived at the scene around 8 p.m.
“There was no fire, just some steam which suggested a heat source,” said Stoner. “We examined the area and wetted it down as a precaution.”
The callback happened after Fergie’s Cafe was engulfed in flames earlier that day.
A team of 35 to 40 fire members responded, and the fire was put out at around 7 a.m.
Investigators have been examining the scene to determine the cause.
