The first Squamish baby of 2015 was a healthy baby girl born at home.

Lexi Brulé was born on Friday, Jan. 2 to Catheryn and Daniel Brulé at their home in Valleycliffe. She’s their first child.

Lexi came into the world at 8:30 p.m. with help from midwives Lydia Szymanski and Beth Ebers and doulahs Kimberly Daniels and Victoria Paull, her father told The Squamish Chief. She weighed in at 8 lb. 6 oz.

“She’s doing great,” said the proud father. “We just had a post visit from our midwives and everything’s great.”

The Brulés count themselves especially lucky because their new baby is already sleeping well.
