Environment Canada is calling off its heat warning after temperatures reached over 30 C for days.
As of Wednesday evening, showers and overcast conditions are expected to take over.
The spell of cloudy, wet weather is expected to last at least until Monday.
A special air quality statement still is in effect, however.
As of today, wildfire smoke blown in from other parts of the province is continuing to affect the Howe Sound area.
Seniors, infants and those with breathing conditions are advised to be on the lookout for symptoms such as shortness of breath.
