Local journalist John French, who works for The Squamish Chief and Mountain FM, has accepted a new job.
French will be starting as community relations manager with Woodfibre LNG on Monday, Jan. 26.
He will be based in the Woodfibre LNG and FortisBC community office on Cleveland Avenue in downtown Squamish.
“I am saddened to be leaving The Squamish Chief, yet excited for the opportunity ahead,” French said.
“I will be sharing the facts related to the Woodfibre LNG export facility as the Environmental Assessment Office reviews the project.”
French will join the existing staff in this newly created role.
French returned to The Chief as a columnist and videographer in April 2014.
