Gardner, Barnett to speak at BOATA meeting

Mayor Greg Gardner and Brian Barnett, the District of Squamish's manager of engineering and parks, are set to address the Brackendale Owners' and Tenants' Association (BOATA) at its meeting on Thursday (April 14) at 7 p.m.

Mayor Greg Gardner and Brian Barnett, the District of Squamish's manager of engineering and parks, are set to address the Brackendale Owners' and Tenants' Association (BOATA) at its meeting on Thursday (April 14) at 7 p.m. at the Brackendale Art Gallery.

Barnett is to provide the community group with an update on dike seepage protection and river dredging work to take place over the next couple of years, while Gardner is slated to provide updates on a number of issues including the Squamish Nation's proposal to develop housing on a portion of the Cheekye Fan, landfill expansion and airport servicing, BOATA president Stéphane Perron said.

The presentations will be followed by the group's regular meeting. Admission is free, and all are invited. BOATA normally meets on the second Tuesday of the month.
