Hail falls in Squamish

Rain turned to hail just after noon in Squamish.

When it rains, sometimes it hails.

For a brief moment just after noon today, pea sized hail started falling in Squamish.

Following thunderclaps early today, heavy rain with a bit of ice started to fall in town.

Local meteorologist Jason Ross noted on Twitter that some of it was pea-sized.

North of Squamish, snow is falling in Whistler.

The temperature is currently at 7 C, with showers forecast for tonight.

Tomorrow will see some sun and clouds, followed by rain.
