Heavy rain is expected to continue Thursday night, bringing another 30 to 50 millimetres before it tapers off early in the morning.
Environment Canada has issued a heavy rainfall warning for the Lower Mainland and the Sea to Sky including Squamish. The North Shore and the Howe Sound region are expected to get the most rain.
Heavy downpours are likely to cause flash floods and water pooling on roads, according to Environment Canada. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Landslides may occur in vulnerable areas such as steep slopes.
