Want to do your part to help clean up the Squamish Estuary after last week's oil spill? You can help - with your camera.

The Chief is calling for your best photos of the Squamish Estuary. Nature shots, landscapes, or your best sports action photos are welcome.

We'll put them together in a special commemorative edition to be published on Friday, Aug. 25. All proceeds from this special section will be dedicated towards the Squamish Environmental Conservation Society clean-up efforts in the estuary.

"In the fall of 2003, after devastating flooding hit the Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton areas, The Chief put together a special feature of photos from the floods, raising more than $5,000 for humanitarian relief between the two communities," said Chief Publisher Tim Shoults.

"We'd like to do the same kind of thing again, only this time we're looking for pictures of the estuary as it was before last week's oil spill - and as we hope it will be again after the cleanup."
