Police are investigating the break-in and theft of cell phones valued at approximately $15,000 from a local business last week.
Last Wednesday (July 18), Squamish RCMP visited the business in the 40000 block of Tantalus road after someone reported having heard the sound of breaking glass and an alarm, RCMP Sgt. Wayne Pride said in a statement.
At the scene, police found that someone had broken into a vacant commercial space next to the targeted electronics business's back storage room, cut a hole in the wall and stole the cell phones.
Police identification specialists attended to conduct a forensic examination, Pride said. Video surveillance footage is also being reviewed as part of the investigation, he said.

Police are pursuing a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking against the man in relation to the ecstasy seizure.
