Authorities say no injuries have been reported following a house fire that occurred on June 1.
District spokesperson Rachel Boguski said in an email to The Squamish Chief that Squamish Fire Rescue rushed to put out a blaze in the 1800-block of Mamquam Road on Wednesday night.
The fire, which was reported at about 10:40 p.m., caused considerable damage to one room. However, Boguski said that the remainder of the building suffered mainly smoke damage.
Emergency Social Services have offered support to the residents, she said.
As of now, there is no word on the cause of the fire.
