Howe Sound Women’s Centre Society will be having a big change in leadership.
Executive director Megan Reynolds is stepping down from her role after three years leading the organization.
"It has been an honour to represent the Howe Sound Women's Centre Society over the past three years," said Reynolds in a news release. "I've had the distinct privilege of working with a remarkable group of people doing very important work in our community.”
Jessie Cameron, president of the board of directors of the Howe Sound Women's Centre Society, commended Reynolds for her work.
"The society is very sad to see Meg go, but we are so thankful for her hard work and dedication during these past three years," said Cameron in the release.
“She has led the society gracefully through much change and expansion, and she should be so proud of her contributions.”
The board of directors will begin the search for a new executive director immediately.
Reynolds will stay on with the organization until June 28 to ensure a smooth transition.
She plans to take time off over the summer to travel with her family before pursuing new professional opportunities.
The Howe Sound Women's Centre Society is a charitable organization operating in the Sea to Sky area for 35 years.
The women’s centre is focused on supporting women, children and youth who are in need of emergency shelter, support, referrals and advocacy, and in particular, those who are experiencing high conflict, violence or abuse.
