Be prepared for some inside-out umbrella action in the next while — Environment Canada has issued some wind and rain alerts for the Squamish area.
"Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring," said the agency on its website.
High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
Strong southeasterly winds of 70 gusting to 90 km/h will develop over exposed coastal sections and the southern sections of Howe Sound, the organization said.
Winds will ease overnight.
Heavy rain is expected in today and tonight, Environment Canada added.
Rainfall amounts of 50 mm are expected by Wednesday morning.
