Quest University this week welcomed two new faces to its board of governors.

Mary Jo Larson, a lawyer with the firm Warner Norcross and Judd LLP, and Stuart D. Louie, a member of the leadership team for B.C.-based London Drugs, were announced as new board members in a statement issued on Tuesday (April 2).

Larson, whose son Jordan is a Quest student, has received the Detroit Chamber of Commerce Emerging Leadership Award and has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Michigan Lawyers and Top 50 Women Michigan Lawyers byMichigan Super Lawyers.

"I am passionate about Quest's mission and have joined the board to ensure that, for generations to come, Quest continues to reach beyond boundaries - boundaries between academic areas, boundaries between peoples, and the boundaries of our own imaginations," Larson said.

Louie has a bachelor of science in economics from Duke University and a law degree from the Duke Law School. He spent the next several years as an associate in the finance and commercial transactions department at the law firm Davis Wright Tremaine in both Seattle and New York. He returned to the West Coast in 2010, and his current position at London Drugs has him involved in strategic planning specifically related to business growth and development.

"I think that Quest is doing some very innovative and interesting things to advance post-secondary education in a non-traditional format and I am very excited and honored to be a part of it," Louie said.
