Mayor addresses seniors at Tantalus CentreTantalus Seniors' Centre

It was another great soup and sandwich day last week, thanks to the whist club and the two young ladies from the high school doing the serving. Our mayor, Ian Sutherland attended our luncheon and gave a talk on Saturday's referendum.

The centre is open from 1 - 4 p.m., Monday to Friday. Closed weekends and holidays. Monday, 1 p.m. - Crafts and Cards; Tuesday, 1 p.m. - Crib; Wednesday, 10 a. Sketch 'n Paint; Thursday, 9:15 a.m. - TOPS; Friday, 1 p.m. - Bridge; Friday, 7:30 p.m. - Whist. Genealogy - March 21, 10:30 a.m.

Tantalus Walking Club

This Thursday (March 10) meet at the fisherman's entrance at the access to spit dyke off Government Road, south of the railway museum at 10 a.m. for a walk along Woodpecker Trail. For more information phone Joyce at 604-898-5594.

Caregivers' Support Group

This group will be meeting in the Tantalus Seniors' Centre this Wednesday (March 9) from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Anyone wishing to attend please phone Donna Howard at the Coast Garibaldi Health Unit at 604-892-2293.

Royal Canadian Legion

This Sunday (March 6) there will be Bingo in the Legion Hall. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Bingo starts at 6:45 p.m.

Hilltop House Support Society

This group will be meeting this Thursday (March 10) in the activity room at Hilltop at 9:30 a.m. New members are always welcome.
