A Mission man is facing multiple charges after having been arrested during a routine traffic stop on Highway 99 in Squamish last week.
On Thursday (Oct. 31) at around 11:45 p.m., a Squamish RCMP officer on routine patrol pulled over a vehicle that was southbound on Highway 99 at the Mamquam Forest Service Road, RCMP Sgt. Wayne Pride wrote in a statement.
The driver, 43, was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Ontario for alleged assault and uttering death threats, Pride said. He was also found in possession of "a quantity" of methamphetamines and marijuana, as well as five laptop computers that police believe were stolen. The investigation is ongoing, with police pursuing charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property.
