Two well-known fisheries researchers will speak next week at two separate events sponsored by the Squamish Streamkeepers.

Alexandra Morton, a biologist whose work in the Broughton Archipelago along the B.C. coast has contributed to a campaign among those seeking changes to the salmon farming industry, will take part in a meet-and-greet on Thursday (April 21) at 2 p.m. at the Brackendale Art Gallery.

Morton is also slated to be a special guest at an evening event featuring a lecture and slide show by Dr. Jonn Mattson. The presentation, titled "Herring Brings New Life to Howe Sound," is planned on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Squamish Adventure. Admission is by donation.
