Items were stolen from multiple vehicles in the Garibaldi Highlands during the last seven days, RCMP say.
A "suspect male" is believed to be connected to thefts from the vehicles, many of which were unlocked.
Police say the vehicles were entered and rummaged through.
Bank cards were stolen and used in local businesses, resulting in hundreds of dollars in loss, officers say.
RCMP have been in the area gathering evidence.
Police are advising residents to lock their car doors, remove valuables from their vehicles and park in visible areas.
