Live at Squamish has a brand new name, look and schedule for 2013.
The summer concert series, which has taken place at the Loggers Sports Grounds each summer since 2010, has been re-named the Squamish Valley Music Festival for the fourth edition of the event.
Organizers also announced that the festival has been moved up to Aug. 9 and 10, 2013 and will now take place with a full day of music on Friday and Saturday, with Sunday no longer being a part of the event.
Past editions of the festival saw things getting underway on Friday evening and continuing all the way until Sunday night.
The 2012 festival saw a three-day total of 23,000 people take in the event, up from 16,600 in 2011 and 2010's 14,000. Some of the notable acts to have performed at the festival in its first two years include Weezer, The Tragically Hip, Bad Religion and Metric.
On-site camping is expected to expand for 2013, with additional shuttle services coming to Squamish from both Whistler and Vancouver.
The band lineup and ticket information for the festival is scheduled to be released in the early spring. For more information on the festival, visit www.squamishfestival.com.
