Preparations for new picnic tables is underway at Alice Lake Provincial Park

There will be some spiffy new picnic tables to have dinner on come this summer at Alice Lake Provincial Park.

New concrete pads and more accessible tables are currently being installed in the south and central beach areas around the lake.

This is the second phase of table replacement. Phase one was completed in 2016.

This year, $50,000 is being spent on the table upgrades, according to BC Parks.

During the low season, BC Parks crews typically do this type of construction work rather than causing disruptions during the busier months of the year.

The funding for this project is part of capital investment set aside for facilities in the Sea to Sky, according to BC Parks.
