Campaign underway

Eliyana Stern, who has been public about her struggle against racism at her Squamish middle school, has launched a Go Fund Me campaign, “Help Eliyana Stern Erase Ignorance as an Excuse for Racism!” to help the Grade 9 student attend the We Stand Youth Summit in Edmonton, Alta. on March 21. The one-day summit aims to foster young leaders and features a series of keynote speakers. Summit organizers invited Stern to attend after hearing the story of the racism she has faced at Don Ross Middle School.
