Fundraiser for fire evacuees

Mari-Ann Drevvatne, a Canadian fitness boot camp pioneer, INBA Olympia World Finalist and holistic fitness coach, is hosting an early morning boot camp work out, this Saturday to raise money for those impacted by the B.C. wildfires.

Having lived in the Okanagan for five years before moving to Squamish, Drevvatne said she has seen firsthand the devastation that happens with wildfires and she wants to help.

This boot camp is for all fitness levels. The Boot Camp is taking place on Saturday, July 22 and the following Saturday July, 29 from 6 – 7 a.m. at Howe Sound Secondary School. Space is limited.

Please call Mari-Ann at (604) 787-7738 or email [email protected] to reserve your space.

If you are not into doing a boot camp and would like to help out, feel free to come out, cheer them on and give a donation. (Minimum donation is $10.)

More Help for evacuees

It has been devastating to watch wildfires spread through the B.C. interior.

The Red Cross is supporting B.C. and local authorities in providing assistance to those affected by the devastating flames and smoke.

Donations help provide immediate relief such as cots, blankets, family reunification and financial assistance for food, clothing and personal needs.

Beyond meeting immediate needs, donations also help re-entry and more long-term recovery, resiliency and preparedness.

To donate search “Donate to the British Columbia Fires Appeal” online or call 1-800-418-1111.
