Squamish 50 sells out quick
Talk about being suckers for punishment.
Runners who are eager to push themselves to the sweaty, knee-busting, foot-aching limit signed up for the 2018 Squamish 50 in droves.
The end result?
Within nine hours, every single ticket for every event in the Squamish 50 had been sold out.
The event is divided into four categories.
A 50-mile run, which sold out in nine hours; a 50-kilometre run, which sold out in 44 minutes; a 23-kilometre run, which sold out in 2.5 hours; and a 50-50 run — that’s 50 kilometres plus 50 miles — which sold out in 3.5 hours.
It was dramatically faster sell-out time.
The race sold out all its events for 2017 in three weeks.
The year before, all events sold out within eight weeks.
Quest named 10th prettiest
Quest University was recently named one of the most beautiful universites in Canada.
Quest University, which ranked 10th, is noted for its large amount of green space throughout campus, according to a news release from Best Choice Schools, a U.S.-based website that provides resources for students and parents looking for colleges and universities.
The University of B.C. came first in the rankings while the University of Regina in
