Some cash raised from the sale of one of Oprah’s favourite things will be going to help a Squamish women’s shelter.

Starting on March 8, which is International Women’s Day, The Sleep Shirt will be donating 20 per cent of sales from two popular products to Howe Sound Women’s Centre.

Those products are the short sleep shirt and the long sleep shirt in blue oxford stripe.

Company founder Alexandra Suhner Isenberg’s relationship with HSWC dates back to a time when those products were just ideas, and when she was still living in Squamish.

Suhner Isenburg was in touch with the centre for fundraising efforts, and this latest effort will be ongoing until the end of March.

“Having been a resident of Squamish for several years, the Howe Sounds Women’s Center is close to my heart and I am thrilled to be working on a project that will raise funds for this wonderful organization,” she said in a news release.

Suhner Isenburg’s products got a big boost when they were listed as one of Oprah’s favourite things on Oprah.com last year.

Founded in 2012 by Suhner Isenberg, a Central St Martins alumni and Vancouverite, The Sleep Shirt is a Canadian nightwear and loungewear brand.
