Shell break-in suspect arrested

Police have arrested and charged a 16-year-old male in regards to a break, enter and theft that occurred on May 24. The youth was identified through video surveillance breaking into the Shell Service Station at 2:07 a.m. and stealing products from the store. The youth was released on conditions and will appear on July 12 to answer to a charge of Break Enter and Theft.

3 motorbikes stolen from Viking Ridge

On June 7 two owners of units at Viking Ridge Estates called to advise that their garages were broken into overnight. Three motorcycles were stolen from the units. A black and orange KTM 450E bearing B.C. Licence L25099, and two dirt bikes, a red and black 2002 Honda CR250 and a blue and black 1997 YZ 125 were stolen. The matter is still under investigation.

Counterfeit attempt

On June 5 at 1:22 p.m. a male described as being mid 20s slim build, 6'2" brown medium length scraggly hair with facial hair wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts attempted to pass counterfeit hundred dollar bills for products he was purchasing. The male left the store when confronted and video surveillance is being reviewed to assist in identifying the male.

Debit machine ripped off at apartment

On June 4 at 8:37 a.m. a property representative reports that overnight suspect(s) broke into the apartment block in the 38000 block of Buckley Avenue. The debit machine for the laundry room was ripped open and the key pad and internal workings of the machine were stolen, also tenants mailboxes were compromised. The matter is still under investigation.
